English football, is bigger, richer and stronger than it has ever been before. There are numerous factors to be taken into accounts the most important being the simply HUGE injections of television money into the game. This money has given premier league clubs the necessary means to lure the big foreign imports to the premier league and compete with the top divisions in Italy and Spain.
However this has played a part in young British talent to come through the ranks at the top clubs as they see it as taking a risk.
Naturally i can see why fans outside the UK would like to see competitive games played in their countries but the English fans who already pay simply astonishingly high ticket prices not only see this as a kick in the teeth but see this as a demise in the games integrity.
The simple facts are that the league is strong enough to make huge profits without playing 'bonus games' across the world., the fans in the UK are already outraged this is being considered.
For instance a bonus game played in New York is Manchester United vs West Bromwich Albion, but elsewhere Arsenal's bonus game was Liverpool. That would probably have a detrimental effect on one teams title chance, this could also be said for teams in the relegation battle.
The only way i can see this being possible is that knockout cup games are played abroad and the clubs would only have to oblige if they volunteer.
