Maybe if the PL, dock WHU points they should sue SUFC. What do you think?
and secondly even if it was a gentleman's agreement, isn't that the same damn thing that you want to punish west ham on???
and just cause Man U does it doesn't make it right. right?
sort out the logic PLEASE.
For the record, I'm not a West Ham fan.
We all knew the tevez and mascherano transfrers were suspect and last years FA panel appear to have confirmed that he was not eligible to play. Should it prove that this was the case AND that the 3rd party deal with MSI was in fact still in place then i would have thought point docking would be in order due to deciet and breaking further rules.
However also adamantly feel that the blades should not benefit from this either.
I dont blame West Ham, the people who signed those deals are gone but i believe the premier league needs to taking care of its own disciplinary matter and make the rules and punishments black and white, instead of hiding behind its legislation to hand it off to a 'neutral' panel and avoiding responsibility.
As for the Scott Duxbury conversation, obviously the FA and Premier League dont see this as silly though do they?
In all honesty i think very little will happen even if the FA and Premier League find West Ham guilty, the fact West Ham are skint may add to that.
Try to get some less biased who has knowledge on the subject to write next time.
Reckon he just wants to see a bit of fairness in football.
Pathetic.
If West Ham are docked points for game we won with Tevez, surely game we lost with Tevez should also be nil pointers.
Sheff Utd beat us 3-0 with Tevez, if we were such a 1 man team, why couldn't Tevez Utd beat them?
Sheff Utd tried to throw the last game of the season and were punished for it. They also sold Steve Kabba to Watford and instructed him not to play in the fixture between the two clubs, a game which Sheff Utd won 1-0. If anyone deserved to be on the end of this 'injustice' it's Sheff Utd.
The clause in question stated that Carlos Tevez could be sold by MSI at any time during the season.
Now, if anyone thinks for one minute think that what West Ham are going through for this very minor clause (i didn't actually have any effect on football did it?) because they knew they had done something wrong need their head tested.
The premier league and the FA will be so seriously sued by West Ham if they are relegated that they won't be able to exist anymore, ask any serious lawyer, they can't re-open this case again. This will be more a bit of fun for West Ham than anything. I'm not a West Ham supporter either.
I really don't care if they are docked, relegated and the youth squad is fielded next year. I'll still support my club.
But BUT, there is a point when all credibility of the FA and PL is thrown out the window. and how Duxbury is still at the club is beyond me.
But seriously, lets dig up some rule U18 violations by about every top club, based on verbal agreements. Its all just a bit much.
Hammers fans need to face facts, the broke the rules, lied to protect their interests and now face financial ruin. Harsh but fair
I think the biggest problem here is the FA and Premier League Board. THEY messed up in the first place and should have thrown WHU from the premier league- as all competitions should have parity and fielding an illegible player should be banned from the competition as the case of Droylesdon and Bury in the most recent FA Cup.
That said I feel strongly that on ce the original decision was made everbody should have stood by it. Sheff Utd should not get anything from WHU. They were rubbish for the last few games of the season and did not desrve to stay up. It is embarrasing to football in this country that we have McCabe twittering on and on and on about this. They went down because they were the worst TEAM. YES Tevez should not have played- but who is to say that someone else would not have filled his boots amply and the results would have been the same.
For the record, the new Icalandic board have done nothing wrong, the only thing they have done in this case is put there hands up about Tevez (this is the reason WHU were only fined, does anyone here no anything about court judgements. Have u never seen a pido get off 'lighter' because he pleaded guilty? Well the same happened with the new board at west ham.)
That said (as a WHU fan, i do think the intinial judgement was to light, and we should have been docked points when we were first found guilty)
This will all be swept under the carpet because the FA no they have fuked up (and they no it), and the sooner it goes away for them, and the rest of football for that matter, the better.
