However I believe Mr Kelmsley and his friends are big time Spurs and I think they enjoy it too much to be sellers

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Next For American Takeover | EPL Talk

Paul Allen also owns the Portland Trailblazers in the NBA.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Next For American Takeover | EPL Talk

Neil is absolutely right. All your poll proves is that 39 per cent of your readers are complete twats. They've failed to understand that Joe Lewis is a billionaire tax exile and main sharehold, followed by Levy, who only a couple of years ago rejigged the share structure so that it's practically impossible to buy out him and Lewis, unless they're ready to sell. Since Levy is a fanatical supporter, and given that he's finally got the club building towards a Premiership challenge, only a complete moron would expect them to sell up now. Even if they were to sell, it would make much more sense to wait until they'd won at least one Premiership.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur Next For American Takeover | EPL Talk

What a lot of tosh!

The principal backer behind Spurs is Joe Lewis who is worth billions (literally). Of the people who own Premiership football clubs, only Abramovich is worth more money. Add that to Daniel Levy, our chairman, who is worth a pretty bob or two, and who is a Spurs fan, and Alan Sugar who's still got a significant shareholding in the club and we are already owned by people with fantastic wealth who have been successfully running the club, and who have provided it with a very stable financial backdrop.

This is a non-story with a headline which disguises its absolute lack of substance.
