  • I thought EPL Talk didn't do transfer gossip...
  • It's only partially 'gossip' -- Gomes is on his way to Spurs if all the details can be ironed out. It is even posted on the Tottenham official website:

I only thought it natural to speculate on what might happen to Paul Robinson as it is unlikely he'll want to be the backup.
  • Yeah he will be on his way. I would have thought either villa or boro will be his most likely destination.
  • I have seen reports on the web that Manchester United is looking to sign some young American phenom. Some kid whose apparently one of the best American footballers ever at his age.

Can any of the Americans that patrol these boards and tell us how great they are at this game give insight into this kid?
  • Brek Shea?

He's an above average talent at 18. But we've sent kids your way before and they haven't developed. I'd prefer he go somewhere else where he will be given the time to develop.

You can read my thoughts on the situation here:

  • Break Shea?

He's an average player. Has hardly played a sniff in MLS. Why Man Yoo is interested is beyond me.
  • Somehow my earlier comment got deleted.

Shea is a player of some potential but he hasn't seen the field much in MLS, and like several previous young Americans who have gone to Man U and flopped he'd be better served going to Holland or staying in MLS a while longer.
  • As a Gooner, I think he should come to the Emirates!
