You are making some strong accusations here and I have a few questions for you.

I know that Shevchenko has been considered a flop by most...and at a cost of 30 million pounds that's not helping the analysis in his favor. However, I don't recall reading any articles that stated Serie A was inferior. Can you point some out?

Also, do you not think it's possible that Shevchenko has lost a bit of pace and that just as much as the difference in styles has contributed to his poor form?

Lastly, why are you reading the 'rags' if you don't value their viewpoint? Seems like an exercise in frustration to me! :)

Well I've not kept up with my EPL Talk reading but assuming someone has suggested Serie A is sub-par quality I suggest all EPL fans re-evaluate that assumption as several English exports (and English exports are few) have not faired well abroad in Serie A, LaLiga or elsewhere.

When you look to Champions League wins,
Serie A teams are tops with EPL and LaLiga clubs all even on 11 wins and the best EPL in the runnerup category 14 - 5 ;)
