Speaking for myself I don't have the time to open up every link to see if a new comment has been made. Also if a person goes back in time and makes a comment on an older post it is more likely to get lost once it is off the recent comment list that is displayed on the front page. If there is a way to read all the comments made in order please post where I find the link on the page?

I also miss the forums. I didn't really participate by posting all the often but every couple of weeks I would dip in and read other peoples thoughts.

Re: Share Your Thoughts On How To Make EPL Talk More Interactive

Bendi and eplnfl,

Thanks for your suggestions. I appreciate you taking time to share your thoughts. I'll definitely consider Ning. Hadn't thought about that.

A TV show would be great but it's hard to nail down a specific time (not just for me, but also for the viewers/readers). The great thing about blogging is that it's easier to do timeshifting - where it doesn't have to be live.

Let me see what I can cook up from the ideas that everyone presented.

Cheers,
The Gaffer

Re: Share Your Thoughts On How To Make EPL Talk More Interactive

Well Web 2.0 equals social networking in many respects. So bendi has a good idea in that respect.

I've always supported a forum and think it is still a good idea. While the comments on the blog are excellent, they become limited and given the outstanding # of the posts you have to really search for a post, since it will be a few posts down quickly. A actual membership directory where we can interact with other members individauly would be fun.

I believe that a televised post game show moderated by the Gaffer on a u-stream/justin.tv type site would be great. We talked about it before, but most of us in this community do not have a local post-match call in show to vent on. Time of the show has always been a problem, but immediate post-game would solve that.

Re: Share Your Thoughts On How To Make EPL Talk More Interactive

You could create a EPL Talk social network on Ning to promote reader gatherings, pre-game celebrations, post-match drunken wallowing, etc...
