Some may disagree with me (of course they would be idiots) but the attendance was actually good for a friendly of this type.
This was actually the first time a European based team has played as if they cared about the result or even how they looked in the match. Over the years, Columbus has hosted a fairly impressive list from both UK and Germany and all were frankly yawners.
If this matchup becomes a yearly event, I would expect a much better turnout from the Columbus side, and US Villa fans as well.
I'm not too thrilled about the prospect, though... if the succeeding matches should become ever more competive as one would surmise judging from this one, Crew risk injury right in the thick of the playoff battle.
