I have written an article about how American players for the past ten seasons who go to Holland and Germany at a young age become national team regulars and those who go to England at a young age become throwaways.

Here is the story:

http://csrnusa.com/ussoccer...

Re: Premiership & The Continental Divide

Good catch, JC. Yep, I meant the managers.

Interestingly, even though Europe is a continent, the Brits consider "the continent" the mainland part of Europe, i.e. France and beyond.

Glad to have you on board as one of the blog readers.

Look forward to seeing you on EPLtalk.com, too.

Re: Premiership & The Continental Divide

Ah wait, nevermind, I think I get it. You mean the managers.

I'll be over here.

Re: Premiership & The Continental Divide

Okay, call me a confused American (which is true), but I don't understand. You write:

"Is it any coincidence that out of the top five teams in the EPL table, that four of the five are from the continent?"

Aren't they all from the UK? Three are from London, one from Manchester and the other from Liverpool.

Is this just a phrase I don't understand?
