  • I must say I really enjoyed this read nd its great 2 hear a Boro fans view from across the pond and I hope u keep writin these coz its good 2 see an outsiders - by that I mean outside of England - view on the club
  • Well done Lonnie.

You have picked a team that will give you highs and lows, frustration and emense pleasure in equal amounts.

Where are you from in the states, are you an NFl fan or MLS?
  • If you want to chat to fellow boro fans- there is a popular forum. the addy is www.fmttm.comeonboro.com. here you will be able to read and chat about all the latest gossip and rumours. see ya soon on there
  • Welcome Lonnie to with what should prove to be a rollacoaster of a ride for the next 9 months. You have chosen well. You could have quite easily gone for a high profile outfit but have selected a team which is deeply community based. Check the 1986 stuff when our Messiah took over the club, Mr. Steve Gibson. We have entered our "golden era" and things are again proving exciting. A young energetic outfit which is trying to fill a 35,000 capacity stadium from a demographic of 140,000 is a tough challenge but one I,m sure we will rise to.
Darren is correct with his recommendation of fmttm.....but also quite informed are the journalists of the EVENING GAZETTE (the local newspaper) but in particular the blog started by ANTHONY VICKERS under the title "untypical boro" . Follow the link and I look forward to you extending our following beyond the country.http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/boro-fc/
