  • I thought Chile Ecuador was a great great game. Drama, goals, missed opportunities, bad defending. So far, the games have been spectacular!
And Castillo made the American defense on Sunday look like Sunday league amateurs...He really is something else. The Mexicans should get rid of Blanco, Borgetti, the "old guard" and replace the team with young talent-it is there!
  • Also, another huge complaint with GOLTV is their awful production. Someone needs to tell their producers and graphic designers that its not 1991. Everything is so glossy and campy.

And they need to turn up the crowd noise. Last night was better, but Tuesday felt like the stadium was compeletely empty.

Otherwise I am really enjoying it.
  • I disagree with both the comment that Brazil fielded a B-side (they did not - with the exception of Kaka and Ronaldinho, all other players played at Wembley against England) and that they looked weak - after a lacklustre first half, they clearly dominated the second half, but wasted a vast number of chances. Was Mexico the better team? Hardly, but they took their chances with great composure and skill. Great tournament so far!
