Unfortunatly a real European Superleague probably will happen in the not to distant future, the attraction for the big sides to sell the rights to their games individually will end up overwhelming to teams like Man Utd.

Plus, if they can play in a league of say 16, with sides like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Milan twice per season, they'll make a lot of money!

Will be bad for the game though I think, the lower divisions in Englnd and the rest of europe would probably become semi-professional as there wouldn't be anywhere near as much cash for them, as a Millwall fan, that's not good!!

Anyway, I can't wait to watch that great Celtic draw in the CL on...oh that's right, it's not on tv here in the U.S.

The "negative", as you call it, would be less football. We already have a Euro superleague, it's called the Champions League. What you're proposing is getting rid of the all the rest because YOU are not entertained by it. Honestly, if your sport of choice aggrevates you so, you could try turning the tv off. ;)

And if you think for a second that the any of the big four would give up the financial windfall of the premiership for the uncertainty of a new league, you haven't thought this through.
