    No hes definately been in contact with us, Ramos told gim in janurary he wanted to sign him in the Summer but now Chelsea and Inter are intrested he has a tough decision to make. He wont be staying at Barca as the Barcelona players dont like him and also his younger brother is going to be twice as good, you will see him come through soon enough, maybe not very soon but in a few years definately.

    I remember reading somewhere that Ramos was not convinced with Ledley King being a first-choice anymore so Dunne going there would make sense. I don't think he'll go somewhere unless he's a starter thought. Why would he want to warm the bench for someone else? Portsmouth might be a good fit for him in that regard. A reunion with Distin perhaps?

    didn't they say the same things about Spurs last season?

    dos santos is kind of overrated, especially for his age, plus he's got the field of arrogance and incompetence when he plays.

    Dunne's not that bad, but will he play at the lane?

    Gio is leaving Barca because of the lack of first team opportunities there. Would be a great signing for us, but with Modric already here, what does that mean for Jenas? I hope Jenas is still with us next season. Dunne will be an interesting signing, but I don't want too many non-pacy players at the club.

    coys-canada; I think that if we sign both Geovanni and Capel, that Geo and Modric will both play in the centre, (Geo left-centre and Modric right-centre) with Capel on the left wing and Lennon on the right. As well as his obvious skill level, Modric has something of a reputation back home as a bit of a scrapper who doesnt mind getting stuck in, so he could well be the guy to sit in front of defence, break up opposing atacks and bring the ball out to Geo, Capel etc. Hopefully, if we complete the signing of Geo and Capel relatively quickly, it may convince Berba to have a change of heart.

    Jimbo, I somehow doubt that Spurs would play buy both Dos Santos and Capel let alone play them in the same side. A midfield of Diego Capel, Dos Santos, Modric and Lennon would be slaughtered for a number of reasons, especially in the Premiership. Firstly Dos Santos plays on the wings, not in the center, and secondly, not one of those players are competant in defence. Although very unlikely, that lineup would certainly be typically Spurs and would give fans some more 5-4 results to look forward too.

    I don't know what you're talking about, Gio is an attacking midfielder/second forward, which is why he didn't shine on the wings @ Barca. The one time Rijkaard used him in his preferred spot the kid scored a hat-trick.

    Gio is a marvelous player, but I think that he is being put under a too big of a spotlight. They have not given him the opportunity to really show his talent with Barcelona, and in doing so Gio can become an even better player when he attains more maturity.

    Fair point Chris. However, the point i was making is that he is not a central midfielder that could shoulder responsibility and dictate a game. When ever I see him play he reminds me a bit of Ronaldinho a couple of seasons ago. Bags of pace, trickery, good on a set play and a good finisher. Yet do you see Ronaldinho in the center? No, because he is much more effective cutting in from the wing, and placing him in the center would be a defensive liability. If Spurs do get dos Santos, expect like blah d blah says, to play a 4-3-3. It would be a frightening prospect to see a frontline of dos Santos on the left, Berbatov in the center and Keane on the right. Then behind them in midfield, Modric, Huddlestone and Jenas. Sounds tasty to me.

    Why? The kid could play for the best team in the world if he wanted and he is going to be one of the best players in the world.

    With Gio and Vela , Sven will have something with Mexico he did not have with England: An actual chance to win a world cup.

    Gio dos santos i don't think has developed people expected since his displays at that u17 tournament a few years ago. He was the playmaker in that tournament and had a good eye for a pass and exceptional with his feet. His much bigger physically now but its interesting to read the Spanish media who touted his big billy boot mentality as a problem at Barca. Could be a good signing for Tottenham still not sure if he lives up to the price tag they are rumoured to pay.

    Richard Dunne i think is a solid defender who will partner Woodgate. King is a phenomenal defender when fit however Ramos appears to have lost patience with the club captain and its likely if he ever gets fit he will have to fight for his place. Dawson i think is okay but i'm not a big fan, was linked to newcastle but said he wants to fight for his place...said it before Dunne came into the picture though. Kaboul is a deadbeat professional and like Bocenegra can put a few goals in for his team but can't defend nor play a simple pass to save his life. He should be on his way out.

    barcelona has had a lot of players that havent shined until they get out of the club and when they go to the premier they play better than expected
    just wait if they are able to sign dos santos he can play as a second forward and make the spurs offense stronger than expected

    heres a list of players that played in spain left and now are great players Cesc, Piqué, Sergio García, Gerard, Simao, Quaresma

    dos santos will become one of them if he is placed in the right club like the spurs

    ONE PLAYER I HAVE BEEN BLEATING ABOUT FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME AND WE NEVER SEEM TO SHOW AN INTEREST AND THATS 22 YEAR OLD MILNER OF NEWCASTLE UTD I DO PASSIONATLY BELIEVE WITH THE ENERGY THE SKILL AND THE BOX TO BOX DETERMINATION HE HAS HE COULD BE CONVERTED INTO A MORE EFFECTIVE OLD RIGHT HALF PLAYER CERTAINLY IN THE MOLD OR NEAR OR BETTER DARE I SAY IT THAN THE GREAT ALAN MULLERY. THIS GUY WOULD BE BRILLIANT A SWAP DEAL OR CASH BUY WOULD NOT BE BEYOND THE W . H . L . FIRM .

    True, Ivan. that whole Mexico U-17 team from 2005 hasn't developed the way that was expected. But yet the skill is there, and between Vela, Gio and Guardado you have nothing but fear if you support the US as I do because we don't have a single young player with 1/5th the skill of either of those 3 guys. Throw in a young keeper like Ochoa who has played great at the Copa Lib and you have the makings of a team that can go very deep in the World Cup if developed and nurtured correctly. Sven knows how to do that.

    I think if all things fall right, Mexico can shock the world in 2010.

    i agree with JD....milner provides quality football and would certainly be a great addition to spurs.....get rid of malbrnaque...cant stand that useless midget...although he does show some skill every once in a while he coughs up the ball much too easily...spurs need a good possession player who wont be rubbed off the ball by the wind
