I don't think Berbatov makes United better. The success of their attack last season, was its difficulty to defend. The tweener players like Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Giggs and Nani could bomb forward intermittently, preventing teams from man-marking.

Having a traditional striker leading the line makes United far more predictable and easier to defend.
