I agree with your point. The fact the dressing was not locked is the real heart of the matter. I hope it was just a "smash-and-grab" job and I hope none of the players homes will be hit in some sort of follow-up operation.

You're right, let's not pretend these players really will suffer without this money, it's just the sheer fact that someone was able to gain access to the visitors' dressing room that is such a joke.

3-4 K isn't that much (if that's the total sum stolen from everyone) considering what these fellows make in a week and depending how many players were robbed it's not that much per person. It's just the scale of things. Losing 40 or 60 bucks to the average person is like these fellows losing a couple hundred.

Then again, what were City’s players and staff doing with that much money?? They were the visiting team and probably were heading back to Manchester directly after the match; I’m not sure why they were carrying any considerable amount of money in the first place.
