    My Dad took me to my first Tigers game in 1963, it was in the third division (now league one) and we beat Halifax 2 - 0. For 45 years I've been dreaming of Hull City getting to the top division. Last season's success was completely unexpected and I still hadn't caught my breath when this season got under way. Being an optimist I thought that we'd stay up but even the most optimistic City fan could not have anticipated the style with which we have started the campaign. The potential is immense, In 66/67, following promotion from the third division, we pulled in well over thirty thousand for some games. The previous season 45,000 saw Hull take on Chelsea in an FA Cup quarter final replay. It is immensely gratifying to know that we are popular for all of the reasons that you have outlined in your article, we know it will not last, but while we've got your attention, just imagine how good it feels to know that many thousands of young kids in Hull and East Yorkshire will be pestering their parents for a City shirt this Christmas instead of Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea or Arsenal.

    living in north london seeing my home town do over yet alone both north london clubs but west and east london clubs is a sporting feeling i cant describe ! sheeer class !!
