EPL Talk: 2006/2007 Premiership Ticket Prices

  • The Gaffer · 2 years ago
Just as a follow-up to the above post, I was almost speechless this week after I heard Steven Cohen on Tuesday's Fox Football Fone-In say:

"A lot of talk in England at the moment about the fact that the Premiership is just, simply, too expensive, and I say 'no, it's not.'"

His argument is that the clubs charge what the market can bear, and if Chelsea get sold out stadiums with their high ticket prices, they should continue to do so.

What do you think? I think it's absurd for so many reasons.

    Cheers,

I thing it's a difficult one to solve. We have the so-called "rich" fans buying tickets that the so-called "poor" fans can't afford, but who is more likely to use a tout, the rich or the poor? Neither, maybe? Here's a link to an article I wrote about a tout at Old Trafford getting arrested. Should this activity really be illegal?
